#1 PET transparent plastic	Yes, clear or colored transparent plastic labeled “1” or “PET” on the bottom with screw-top necks, such as soda & water bottles. Please remove caps..	No salad boxes, deli containers, cups, or opaque bottles such as some dish soap or vitamin bottles.

#2 HDPE translucent plastic bottles & jug	Yes, rinsed colorless translucent plastic, such as milk jugs, labeled “2” or “HDPE” on the bottom.	No colors or caps or tubs.

#2 HDPE solid color plastic bottles, jars and jugs	Yes, rinsed white and colored plastic labeled “2” or “HDPE” on the bottom such as laundry detergent, bleach, & orange juice jugs.	No buckets, automotive fluid containers, lids, or tubs such as yogurt tubs.

aluminum cans	Yes, rinsed aluminum cans such as pop, beer, & most cat food cans.Magnets do not stick to aluminum.	No foil or pie pans.

tin cans	Yes, clean food cans; labels OK. Please leave lids either attached or inside can.	No aerosol, paint, or fuel cans; no loose lids.

office paper	Yes, high quality white or pale-colored papers and envelopes. Shredded OK - in a bag please!	No intense or bright colors, packaging, tissues, paper plates, or glossy paper.

newspaper	Yes, if it came with the newspaper it can stay with the newspaper! Also phonebooks, newsprint packing papers, catalogs or newsletters printed on newsprint.

glossy magazines & catalogs	Yes, the name says it all! Glossy brochures & bulk mail inserts OK. Please remove any plastic wrappers.	No cereal boxes, beer cartons, or papers that are not glossy.

corrugated cardboard	Yes, any size box with the wavy middle layer. Also paper grocery sacks and brown packing paper.	No waxed produce boxes or really dirty boxes.

all other paper	If it is clean paper & doesn’t fit in one of the other categories, it goes here. This includes deep colors, egg cartons, wrapping paper, and flat grey cardboard such as cereal boxes and beer & pop cartons. Please flatten.	No paper plates, tissues, dairy cartons, or soup stock, rice milk, or soy milk cartons.

glass	Yes, all colors of jars, bottles, glassware, and window glass if it is broken into small pieces.	No lightbulbs, tempered glass, corks, rocks, or ice -- seriously!

compact fluorescents	Yes, compact fluorescent light bulbs.	No incandescent bulbs. No fluorescent tubes.

electronics	Yes, TVs, computer monitors, laptops, desktops, and their cords. Also printer & toner cartridges.	No other electronics of any kind.

batteries	Yes, household batteries – rechargeable or not.	No vehicle batteries.

metal	Yes, any non-ferrous metals – copper, aluminum, brass, insulated wire & non-magnetic stainless steel.	No iron or steel – a magnet will stick to these. Please save for our periodic metal drive.

	ALWAYS • Remove caps. • Rinse cans and bottles. • Check the numbers on plastic: We can accept only 1s and 2s. • Say thanks to the volunteers!	NEVER • No paper or boxes soiled with food. • No plastic trays, tubs or carry-out containers. • No toxic containers such as antifreeze, oil, or fuel. • No waxed boxes. • No plastic numbered 3 – 7. • No aerosol cans. • No molded styrofoam packaging.
