We are so excited to be bringing you a Compost Workshop in partnership with our friends at B2G & MVCC!
Our Guest Speaker for the evening will be Marion Owen, who is an Organic Gardening & Composting Educator from Kodiak Island, Alaska. Marion has compiled over 40 years of composting knowledge to help cut through the confusion, show what works and what doesn’t, and why it all matters! In her own words, here is what you can look forward to in education from Marion:
“Composting should be simple. Yet gardeners often feel overwhelmed by conflicting advice about what they can compost, what they can’t, whether they need the '“right” ratio of greens and browns, and what to do when a pile smells bad, attracts pests, or just sits there thumbing its nose at you.
Whether you’re thinking about starting your first compost pile, have been composting for years, or are a community leader looking for practical ways to reduce organic waste, this education is for you!
The goal isn’t to convince you there’s one “right” way to compost. It’s to give you the confidence to compost your way successfully!”
