Self-Haul Recycling

Bring your recycling to Methow Recycles.

A Change In Our Glass Recycling

Our goal has always been to get our glass recycled however, with our convenient local arrangement for reuse with Cascade Concrete for well over a decade, we have not needed to find an alternate option. That arrangement will be changing in the new year and while we are thrilled that our glass will now be hauled to Seattle for recycling, there is an increase in processing costs to do this.

When you come to the recycling center, glass will have a separate fee from other recyclables.

It will cost 12 cents per pound to recycle glass which equates to approximately:

$2 for a five-gallon bucket full

$5 for a 17.5-gallon plastic tote full

$10 for a standard trash can full

We would love your continued to participation in our glass recycling program. At Methow Recycles we say, if you are going to recycle anything it should be glass and metal. Glass is such an environmentally friendly material because it can be recycled over and over again with very little loss of material AND there are enormous carbon savings from recycling glass versus making glass out of raw material.

We understand this will be cost prohibitive for some and we will work to find subsidies and financial resources to help offset the cost for burdened families.

THANK YOU for continuing to recycle and conserve our valuable resources!
